There is no denying it. October is here, and that means that the four dark and cold months are right around the corner. Individually, we refer to them as November, December, January and February, but a group this daunting ought to have a name that invokes fear and trepidation … maybe something like the Four Norse-Months of the Apocalander. Or, maybe not. Anyway, I am not going to fret away a potentially glorious October by concentrating on the bleak things that arrive after the leaves have fallen. Instead, I will buck up my spirits by thinking about some of the appetizing treats we can look forward to, like hot, bubbling bowls of hearty, healthy stew. I hope that sounds great to you, because you are about to get a steady diet of it here on the Malden Yacht Club Blog … minus the “hearty, healthy” part … and maybe minus the “steady” part also.
