Now that our fickle buddy, the sun, has slipped away to the south, and the MYC’s hardy band of Goretex clad kayakers is lucky to see forty degree temperatures, it’s hard to envision five days of paddling on Lake Champlain, bathed in warm, reassuring sunshine. Yet that is what we experienced in 2008, and there is no reason to believe that the same won’t hold true for 2009.
